insilico^TM is a boutique web design and development firm located in the Kewdale Business Park just 20 minutes from Perth, Western Australia.

insilico^TM is a relative new-comer to the exciting world of web design and development (our first birthday was October 2008 – about the same time this article was first posted), but rest assured that an apprenticeship has been well served.

Starting off as a custom software design company and consultancy in 1993, the then-o’neill software expanded its user base by assisting small businesses and government departments alike to better leverage their existing IT infrastructure through the use of software integration.

During that time, the Internet captured the imagination of some scientists in Cern, Switzerland where the World Wide Web was conceived. Vint Cerf and a number of others created a systematic means by which information could be shared over the American Department of Defence structure known as the Internet.

Paul O’Neill, senior consultant and founder of o’neill.software took more than a passing interest in this new technology but never in his wildest dreams did he envisage the inroads the Web would make.

Nevertheless, he kept his eyes on the Internet and saw many changes, some good – some less so.

In 2007 insilico^TM was formed primarily as a web design and development company, but one of its points of difference is that unlike many other web design companies, insilico^TM is not restricted to web-only systems.

Nor is it restricted to desktop-only systems like so many other custom software houses.

With their depth of knowledge about software integration, complemented by their web design team, insilico^TM is placed in pole position to provide niche services in desktop/Web integration, and already has some clients who have utilised these services.

At insilico^TM, we pride ourselves on the care and attention we provide to our clients and their needs, as well as their systems and websites. We are constantly in touch with them, keeping them up to date with the progress of their projects.

And whilst we are a technologically savvy business, we can still be reached on the telephone without having to wrestle with voice activated or keypad systems used by those firms who “value your call”.
