Planning an eNewsletter
So you have decided you want to send a regular eNewsletter campaign to your clients but are not sure where to start.
Firstly, plan a newsletter template and stick to the same format each newsletter. This way you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. One example of a format to follow could be:
- Article 1 – catch up since the last newsletter
- Article 2 – business tip
- Article 3 – industry related article
- Article 4 – special offer
- Article 5 – client testimonial
- Article 6 – closing thoughts
You may prefer to simplify your newsletter to just feature a new product release or provide one industry related article. The choice is yours. If you stick to a regular format it makes it much easier when it comes to writing your newsletter rather than starting from scratch each time.
Planning a theme for your newsletters makes research easier and allows your newsletter to flow from general information on a topic to an irresistible offer.
A little planning can make the reading experience better for your subscribers too!
